Kathy has over 30 years of experience working with small businesses in various positions and industries both in the public and private sectors.  Kathy has her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi.  She is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Certified Payroll Professional and is fluent in Spanish.  Kathy’s career was mainly focused working in public accounting until she made the switch to small business owner.  In November 2019 Kathy launched Nexus Bookkeeping & Business Services, LLC servicing small to medium size businesses with Controllership Services, Bookkeeping, Payroll, Sales & Use Tax, and QuickBooks Consulting.

 

Kathy has also been a faculty member with Collin College since June 2018 as an Adult Continuing Education Instructor instructing an APA approved exam prep course for both the FPC and CPP exam as well as QuickBooks Desktop Certification.  Kathy is also a member of the American Payroll Association and a member of the Dallas Chapter of the American Payroll Association.

 

A native Texan, Kathy moved to the North Texas area in 2017 with her husband and son after spending 20 years in San Antonio.  They are avid San Antonio Spurs fans, enjoy going to the movies, visiting museums, traveling, and spending time with their pets.
